Representatives from Vision were delighted to attend the Care & Dementia Show with our Whitakers range of specialist textiles proudly in tow.
The event, which took place at the NEC in Birmingham, is one of the leading exhibitions for those in the care industry; care home managers, owners and those involved in the vital care of older people. Held across two days, both the 10th and 11th October, the Care & Dementia Show proved to be a huge success with almost 2,500 professionals taking advantage of the networking opportunities and a chance to see innovative products on show.
Showcasing some of the best products from our fit for purpose Whitakers range, Vision representatives proudly presented the FR Quilted Lux duvet; a high-quality flame retardant duvet with a polyester fill to ensure it’s suitable for use throughout the year, the FR Quilted Lux pillow; tested to BS 7175 Ignition Source 5 standards and with a luxurious, quilted outer cover, the brand new FR Satin Stripe bed linen; a superbly stylish bed linen set available in either attractive white or cream shades.
Designed to complement the work of care home providers, Vision also offers a bespoke range of services including unique interior design services with a highly skilled team of interiors specialists, fit-outs and renovation projects; truly personalised and to a range of budgets, product sourcing from a multitude of manufacturing and production partners with dedicated sourcing teams across the world and our unique dementia and visually impaired design services; working with specialist research from Stirling University, our design teams can enhance the lives of those living with dementia through their surroundings.
Throughout the event, Vision representatives were on-hand to discuss our vast array of services and specialist products to potential clients from across the care sector. With a number of exciting meetings with existing and prospective clients, the event proved to be hugely worthwhile as we seek to expand our Vision offering across the world and, using our global power and logistical prowess, effectively communicate our proposition to the key players across the healthcare sector.
Speaking on behalf of the organisers of the show, Chris Edwards, Brand Director at UBM said: “The Care & Dementia Show 2016 was a great success with packed seminar theatres, busy aisles and over 200 meetings held in our brand new matchmaking forum.”
“We had a total of 2,459 visitors over the two days – that’s solely visitors so no exhibitor or stand contractor numbers thrown in there!”
Liz O’Keeffe, National Account Manager for Vision’s Healthcare division attended the event and said: “We were very impressed with the Care and Dementia Show. It was exactly the sort of event we were hoping for; allowing us to meet existing customers and potential new clients who were engaged and interested in our products and services. The venue and atmosphere were both fantastic, and hopefully we’ll see some great business results off the back of the event.”
