Earlier in the year our parent company, Vision Support Services Group, successfully secured a place in The Sunday Times International Track 200 list for 2014. The International Track 200 ranks the fastest-growing mid-market companies in Britain by reference to their international sales and is considered a significant accolade within the export sector.
Whitaker Services offer the specialist textile section to Vision having developed products for organisations such as the Fire service Ministry of Defence and has developed refurbishment services as well as textile supply to the UK’s leading Care homes. All products used for such organisations will have gone through rigorous testing to meet British Safety standards as well as satisfying our customers and delivering a product suitable for hardworking environments they are used in.
Vision was invited to attend the fifth annual The Sunday Times HSBC International Track 200 national awards dinner, held on 16th September 2014 at Banqueting House in London. Owners and directors from each of the 200 private companies were recognised for their fast growth in overseas sales.
The awards dinner included speakers Nick Wheeler, founder and chairman of Charles Tyrwhitt Shirts, and Martin McCourt, former chief executive of Dyson. Each of the companies on the league table received a framed Track 200 certificate.
Ian Stuart, Head of commercial banking UK and co-head of commercial banking Europe at HSBC, said: ”HSBC has been where the growth is for nearly 150 years, striving, in particular, to help ambitious UK businesses prosper, so the celebration of companies succeeding internationally is something we strongly support,” as he commended everyone who had been recognised. “As well as being leading examples of what can be achieved overseas, these companies clearly demonstrate the value of building connections as they help to reinforce the UK’s position on the world stage.”
This ranking recognises Vision’s achievement in continuing to grow our international sales. Our commitment to “Quality.Guaranteed.” is underscored by the best of British and Irish design, craftsmanship and service. We source the finest textiles in the world through our network in Europe and Asia and distribute to the leading players in hospitality, healthcare and retail markets: from John Lewis, BUPA and The Dorchester and Mandarin Oriental at home to Atlantis in Dubai, Fairmont in Singapore and Serena across Africa.
Laurie Thomas, Managing Director of Vision Group, commented “This award is a welcome nod to the international achievements of Vision and our global team. Outside the UK, we have 50 textile specialists operating across 6 time zones in Asia, Africa and Europe, dedicated to supporting our customers and their international operations. Britain and Ireland have always led the world in textile design and delivery and we have an unshakeable commitment to projecting our product and service back into the finest hotels, retailers and healthcare providers across the globe.”
