Bruce Fielden
Director, Whitaker Services
Bruce has been working for the VSS Group for 5 years and is currently responsible for Whitaker Services, the primary focus on its healthcare and laundry customers. He has experience in varied management roles with ASDA and Unilever and has been instrumental in developing innovative product for the UK textiles market, including ‘welded’ duvets and new woven and non-woven products. He has been influential in building Whitakers’ MOD contracts and delivering an enhanced service orientation within the business
Paul White
Director, Whitaker Services
Paul joined the VSS Group in 2002 and is responsible for Whitaker Services with a specific remit for purchasing and technical matters. He is primarily focused on product development and independent laundry customers and is also responsible for the production and quality aspects within the group’s overseas supply channels. He has over 25 years’ experience in the textile industry: 10 years as a specialist in the dyeing and finishing of woven products followed by 16 years responsible for the management and development of contract textiles at a UK textiles trading company, ultimately Managing Director.
Dan Wright
Chief Executive, Vision Support Services
Dan Wright joined the Vision Group in 2002 bringing a wealth of financial and operating experience. Previously, he was Senior Vice President of Cable Partners, a US based telecoms and media buy out fund focused on continental European markets. Responsible for business development, he assisted in the development of Telenet – a provider of cable services in Belgium – into a business with revenues exceeding €1 billion.
Prior to this, he was a Director at Deutsche Morgan Grenfell Private Equity and in the Royal Bank of Scotland Leveraged Finance Group. He has an MA from Cambridge University in History and Modern Languages and qualified as a ACA with Arthur Andersen in London.
Laurie Thomas
Managing Director, Vision Support Services
Laurie joined the Vision Group in 2002 and has commercial responsibility for the day-to-day operations and performance of Vision Support Services and its Whitaker Services and C&C business units. He is a qualified accountant (ACMA) with an extensive track record in the UK laundry, textiles and soft furnishings sectors. In addition to a broad range of financial responsibilities, his experience includes management of knitwear and hosiery factories and the management of sampling and sample approvals process.
Le Kewei
Exectutive Vice-President VSS China
Kewei is Executive Vice-President and runs Vision’s Chinese operations from our base in Shanghai/Ningbo. He is a Chinese national and has extensive experience in textile operations both within the PRC and in overseas markets, including Europe, North America, South Africa and Australia.
Following graduation from the Beijing Institute of technology in 1991, he worked in a variety of sales and operational roles for Ningbo Textile United Import & Export Company which was later absorbed into the Ningbo Veken Group. From 2001 to 2004, he managed the Veken Group’s activities in Europe based in Amsterdam, focusing on both retail and contract market customers, working closely with both C&C Bed&Bath and Whitaker Services. He joined Vision Group on a full time basis in 2005.
Ali Raza
Executive Vice-President VSS Dubai
Mohammad Ali Raza manages our South Asian Operations as the Executive Vice-President from our offices based in Faisalabad, Pakistan. He is a Pakistani National with diverse experiences of working in different capacities in Pakistan and International Home Textile and Apparel markets.
Following his specialism in 1996 from National College of Arts in textiles and Fibre Art, he received a diploma in international marketing from the National Textile & Management Institute. In 1998 he joined the largest textile producer in Pakistan, Nishat Mills Limited and worked with them for almost 8 years. Initially he worked in the production department, and in 2001 was promoted to look after European Sales and Marketing for Home Textiles, Contract Textiles and Workwear markets. In June 2006, he left Nishat to explore further possibilities in the trade and joined Vision Group on a full time basis.
